This article will cover creating new invoices in Xero or QuickBooks from Shopify orders.
After an order is placed in Shopify, it will automatically create an order in Simplify eCommerce. You will see in this first screenshot, a new Shopify order.
For both QuickBooks Online and Xero, invoices are created automatically.
The below example is for QuickBooks Online.
The invoice is automatically created in QuickBooks after the order is place. Click on the document in the Simplify eCommerce portal and you can see the document information which contains the invoice number that was created in QuickBooks Online along with the Shopify order number.
If the order is marked as paid, then that transaction is automatically posted against that invoice as well.
In my test order, I marked it as paid immediately, so when the invoice was created in QuickBooks, it marked it as paid.
Here is the view of the Xero invoice. We actually render the PDF view from Xero of the invoice. In this audit information, we capture the payment as well as the invoice.
