Once payment is received for a Shopify order, an available transaction will be posted Simplify eCommerce. In these screenshots, we are going to mark a demo order as paid in Shopify.
We marked the order as paid which pushes a payment transaction to Simplify eCommerce.
Similar to the invoices for Xero, posting a payment to an invoice is a manual process. Again, this will be automated in the future.
Go in to Simplify from the app menu in Shopify and see the yellow notifications on the Payment button.
Click on that button and upload. Navigate to Xero and view the invoice status. It is now marked as PAID.
For QuickBooks online
The payment transaction is posted automatically against the invoice. No manual intervention is necessary.
